Legal 500: KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht stays in the top tier

Following KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht’s success last October when it won the JUVE Award for employment law for the fourth time, the recently published Legal 500 Deutschland 2020 handbook lists KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht as one of the three best law firms in employment law in Germany – an accolade that KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht has been receiving for many years now.

Legal 500 explains the high ranking as follows:
“KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht has an exceptional reputation for advice over the whole range of employment law issues. One focus is on restructuring measures and associated topics such as downsizing and company modernisation. Both (…) Michael Kliemt and Burkard Göpfert, the head of the Munich office, regularly make an impression with their expertise in this sector of employment law. Particular attention is also given to employee data protection, employment-law compliance and occupational pension plans, especially in connection with M & A transactions. (…) In addition, the Frankfurt office, headed by Barbara Reinhard, known for her expertise in the agile transformation of enterprises, has been reorganised, adding several young lateral hires.”

Legal 500 attests KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht’s “impressive dynamism”, not least following the opening of the Hamburg office in early 2019, headed by Dr. Markus Bohnau and Christoph Seidler, who transferred to KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht from Latham & Watkins.
Legal 500’s list of the twelve “Leading Individuals” in German employment law includes Prof. Dr. Michael Kliemt (Düsseldorf), Dr. Burkard Göpfert (Munich) and Dr. Barbara Reinhard (Frankfurt) – three partners of KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht alone – and this too shows the pre-eminent position of KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht. We are especially proud that Katja Giese (Munich) – she was appointed a partner from 1.1.2020 – is the only lawyer on the German employment-law stage to receive the accolade of “Rising Star”. Legal 500 points out: “Katja Giese from the Munich team has established herself in advising on corporate transactions, for example in the technology sector.”
